Based in central Pennsylvania, Rooted in Love is a pioneer in regenerative agriculture. We want to see a world where real food is accessible to everyone.

Rooted in Love was founded in the early days of April 2022. What began as a journey to build our own homestead in the backcountry of Appalachia evolved into a feverish desire to share this newfound knowledge and a conviction that it will change the world.

Our mission is to address growing concerns of food insecurity and malnutrition by rebuilding food sovereignty within local communities, while restoring our ecosystems and protecting the future of life on this planet for generations to come.

Pennsylvania is uniquely situated as a state, with rolling hills of (once very) rich soil, temperate forests, an ideal growing season, relatively mild weather, and its long history of agriculture — both the kind of agriculture we’re used to nowadays, and the ancient practices of agroforestry trailblazed and mastered by the native people.

By weaving ancient wisdom with modern innovation, Pennsylvania will become a model for regenerative farming and a beacon of food sovereignty for the world. We invite you to be part of this movement and plant the future with us.

“The greatest change we need to make is from consumption to production, even if on a small scale, in our own gardens. If only 10% of us do this, there is enough for everyone. Hence the futility of revolutionaries who have no gardens, who depend on the very system they attack, and who produce words and bullets, not food and shelter. ” — Bill Mollison
